Clinic Announcements ![]() What Can you Do?If your student has any of the following symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider and keep your child home from school:
![]() REMEMBER...All students entering middle school must have a Tdap booster (or a tetanus-containing vaccine) within the past 5 years and a complete/up-to-date immunization record on file at school. Recommended vaccinations for students aged 11-18 may include a second varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, an HPV vaccine (for girls) and a meningitis vaccine. Consult with your physician or the PWC Health Department about these important "pre-teen" vaccines! Please remember to bring/fax/mail your student's updated vaccine record to the school as soon as possible. Students not in compliance with state mandated vaccination schedules will be excluded from school!
![]() Hearing and Vision ScreeningAll students 7th grade students and students new to PWCS will have their hearing and vision screened this year. If you'd like to volunteer to assist Mrs. Brodie on screening day, please contact me by email at brodiesd@pwcs.edu Any student with an identified hearing or vision concern will be sent a letter nofifying parents and recommending evaluation by your physician or eye doctor. Please remind your student to bring any prescribed corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) to school daily, as this will optimize their ability to learn!
![]() Good HygeineFrequent handwashing is encouraged at school and we recommend that any open wounds be clean, dry and covered at school. Waterless hand sanitizer is available in the cafeteria for student use. Parents are welcome to send handwipes or gel for their own student or donate some for classroom use.
